The Pole House by F2 Architecture
Designed by F2 Architecture, The Pole House is a stunning home that sits
on the coast of Great Ocean Road in Australia with incredible views of
the ocean. The home sits elevated on a pole with a long, suspended
walkway leading to its front door. It is considered one of Australia’s
iconic buildings, commonly referred to as the most photographed house on
the road. The building features brand new interiors with
floor-to-ceiling retracting glass-walls, while the bathroom and
supporting steel pole are concealed in a feature wall covered with warm
burnt ash timber. The walkway was transformed with glass balustrades,
giving visitors the sense of walking on air. The house is currently
available for vacation rentals through Great Ocean Road Holidays.
